Molly Brock

Molly Brock with Carl competing at the Oaks Classic in San Juan Capistrano in 2005Molly Brock has joined Beach Lake Stables as senior hunter – jumper trainer. Molly’s arrival at Beach Lake Stables is actually a homecoming. At 41, she is returning to the scene of her teen-age riding experience. Beach Lake provided the introduction for Molly’s education as a horsewoman and her understanding of equine sport. Molly is an accomplished professional in sports and equestrian training with strong and diverse skills. She has taught, inspired and motivated students of all ages. She is disciplined, hard working, well organized, and possesses strong communication skills.

When Molly left Beach Lake Stables in the early 1980s, she rode with Lindsay Pounds-Costigan during 1983-1984, and with Patty Ball during 1985-1986, in the Sacramento area. After graduating from C.K. McClatchy High School in 1986, Molly began rowing in college, first at the University of Southern California and then at UC Berkeley, where she graduated in 1990 with a degree in Political Science. After graduation, she continued to row for another 10 years, and in 1999, she and her United States teammates won the World Rowing Championships in Canada. Having rowed for six United States National Teams and competed in two Olympic Trials, she knew her next career would have to be related to athletics and training in some way. After retiring as a rower in 2000, Molly immediately obeyed the urge to rejoin the equine world. She continued her equestrian training at the following show barns:

2002-2005 — Windfall Farm, Gry and Duncan McFarlane, Fairfield, CA

2004-2006 — Sonoma Valley Stables, Hope & Ned Glynn, Petaluma, CA

2005-2008 — Carmel River Stables, Tracy Cotchett, Carmel, CA

2009 — Mike Edrick Stables, Los Angeles, CA

From 2007 through 2008, she operated her own business in Portland, Oregon, dba Inverness Ridge Farm, where she provided professional training and lessons for competitive hunter and jumper riders competing on the A circuit. The picture above shows Molly competing on her jumper Carl at the Oaks Classic in San Juan Capistrano in 2005.

Molly’s passion is to build a Class A hunter jumper clientele at Beach Lake Stables. You may contact Molly by e-mail at brock_trainer@beachlakestables.com or by telephone at (916) 505-8808 or Beach Lake Stables at mailbox@beachlakestables.com or by telephone at (916) 665-1818.
